It is necessary to calculate the extension of the surface to be cladded and to establish the technique and method of installation.
Always bear in mind that even the top selection may contain a small percentage of an inferior quality of 5% or lower that is allowed by legislation, and that waste can vary according to the method of installation due to cutting (for example, diagonal installation). For this reason, it is a good idea to order an amount of tiles with the addition of at least 10-15% compared to the surface to be clad and to also leave yourself with a supply of extra tiles at the end of installation.
The exterior of the cardboard packages containing ceramic materials contain product information of the contents, regarding:
• the format or dimension, the selection and shade for double fired tiles
• the format or dimension, the selection, shade and calibre for single fired, glazed porcelain stoneware and full body porcelain stoneware tiles.
Should you require extra tiles if the amount of material purchased is insufficient, these references will be indispensable for receiving material with the same characteristics as the batch already used.
Shade and calibre are guaranteed through time but linked to the supply of the original batch in the warehouse.
